01Set up the working rule
Choose which products qualify and whether stamps or spend-based points fit. Offer a reward that can be fulfilled reliably, and decide how preorders and discounted products are treated.
02Separate the daily routine from large orders
Choose whether the program rewards an eligible breakfast visit or spending across the bakery. A wedding cake should not accidentally count like a single pastry. Specify eligible items and the treatment of preorders, and train staff to apply the same rule during the morning rush.
03Worked example and decisions
An illustrative bakery gives stamps for qualifying breakfast purchases and offers a small pastry at a defined milestone. Custom cakes follow a separate published eligibility policy.
Rehearse before launch
Use a demo account and the currently supported configuration. These are checks to perform, not claims that the workflow has passed.
- Run a normal breakfast purchase and explain the earned progress in one sentence at the counter.
- Try a preorder or large cake purchase and apply the intended eligibility policy explicitly.
- Check that the chosen reward can be fulfilled during the morning rush without disrupting service.
- Place the joining invitation near payment and check whether staff can identify the member quickly.
Keep it practical
Do not reward excluded or deeply discounted baskets by accident. Food rewards still require availability and cost planning.
